Language

This is a forum for beaders of all ages. Swearing and offensive language will not be tolerated in any form. Posts containing inappropriate language will be edited or deleted.

Keep it polite and friendly

Welcome newcomers - Let them know our rules and how to use the forum.

Post your topic just once - Posting the same question multiple times is spam, please don't.

Please make sure you use an effective topic title so we can all find our way around the forum more easily.

Don't make posts asking people to reply to you privately by PM/email if you need help or advice - A forum is a place to share with the group, asking people to email a reply defeats the community ethos.

Please also refrain from asking other members by PM or email to divulge their suppliers, techniques etc. If you wish to ask in the help board you are more than welcome to do so, and the member in question can decide if they wish to share such details or not.

Be patient - Not everyone gets to post regularly, but if people can help with a reply they will.

Give feedback - If someone answers your question, follow-up letting them know if it helped or not will also help other members following your thread.

Avoid flame wars - If you feel a thread contains negative personal comments please let the moderators know so we can stop it in it's tracks. Please refrain from adding comments and keeping such threads going.

Links are allowed and welcomed if you follow these rules -
Please put the full address so other people can find the site easily.

If you genuinely want feedback on your site please give us the link, and let us know what you want feedback on.

You may include your web site/business details and a short message in you Signature and as a link in answer to a question, but simply advertising your site/business is not allowed.

Using this forum for advertising your company is spam. Such unsolicited posts will be removed.

Private messages

Please remember the rules above also apply to sending messages to other members.

While your messages remain private, you are obliged to ensure that you do not send messages with offensive, threatening, defamatory, or spam content to other members.

Any complaints recieved will be fully investigated, and such behavior may result in a forum ban.

Removal of posts

I rarely remove posts, only if they contravene our forum rules, or for the purposes of keeping the forum tidy, (as mentioned in the other announcements).

Please be aware that if for any reason I have to remove one of your posts I will always contact you to let you know why I have done this.

I believe we have mentioned before (but cannot find the details to hand so will repeat them here):

While we do our utmost to allow freedom of speech within the forum we ask that you do not post any private correspondence within the forum. This includes emails private messages, letters or any other types of correspondence.
