I just had my first go at wire wrapping and I have a couple of questions.
When you snip the wire to tuck it in for the wrap should you cut it at a slight angle or straight?
When you use the crimp pliers to nip it in do you use the front indent, the back indent or the tips?
I have to confess I tried every which way with no consistency

You should cut the wire straight so it has a blunt end and is less likely to scratch or catch on things. You may need to file it slightly to round off the edges. An emery board will work fine.
When you use the crimp pliers its the first round hole - furthest from the handle. Squeeze carefully so you don't mark the wire though. You will probably have to squeeze several times moving the wrapping round as it gets squashed in place.
