Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a UK supplier that sells the 'Weaving Silver dvds' by Spider? (of

I thought Beadsisters might sell them as they do a lot of chainmail stuff but they don't. Maybe I should suggest it Embarassed

It looks really good.. she has 2 dvds out.. the first one is the begining weaves, euro & japanese ones and then the second is more complex ones. I've seen these for sale on American sites.. but don't know if I should risk it because I've never bought anything from the USA online before. I just thought i'd ask on here in case anyone knew about any UK based sellers before I considered ordering.

Or does anyone have it already and would be willing to make me a copy? Wink Rainbow

Many thanks Hug

Belle, I've not seen it here in the UK, but would completely recommend buying direct from Spider - she is a lovely lady, and very efficient with getting orders out.

Please don't ask people to pirate it for you though. Remember, Spider is an artist and designer (like many members of this board) and this is how she makes a living. Asking for somebody to make an illegal copy of her product is theft.

Great idea Belle, but do make sure your DVD player can accept DVD's imported from USA before you commit yourself.

I was going to say the same as George about copying DVDs Confused After all this is her livelihood!

I have bought direct from Spider and she is lovely friendly person. She emails you invoice, I paid using paypal, and delivery was following week. Excellent service.

Regarding DVD's imported from the US.

Martin Lewis' site explains how you can unlock the codes on your DVD player to make it multi-region.

Seems its perfectly legal to do so. We did it with ours and it works a treat. Daisy

Thanks everyone for your replies... and by the way, I was only being cheeky about suggesting a copy.. I didn't really expect anyone to do that! Rainbow I understand it's Spider's livelihood Smile and she's a fantastic chainmaille artist.

Those who have got the dvd, do you find it really clear to follow and have you made lots of lovely things from it?

How much import duty would I expect to pay if I purchased both dvds? ($50 = £25)

Thanks, Belle Smile

I have both her DVDs. I didn't pay any import for them (ok I'm in Cyprus, but being in the EU, it should all be the same). At least from here I pay import on larger amounts than let's say $25, or so. And I onl paid $5 for shipping when she send them to me.
They are great, I must say. I've only mastered yesterday Jens Pind, and it was from her 2nd DVD. I couldn't figure it out from the online tutorials.
The DVDs are really great, highly recommend them!
