I don't know if this is a tip... but does anyone works with aluminium wire, 1.5mm, 2.00mm and 3.00mm?

You can make freeform and other designs without using pliers, just your hands! I love it! They come in different sizes and beautiful colors, and so simply to use!!

Here is photo of some of my broochs:

They are really great. I don't work with wire much myself, so don't know about the technical stuff, but I really like them.

I think your brooches are lovely. I'm sure they are very popular.
I have used aluminium wire to make some wavy bracelets but was quite disappointed that they were very easy to bend out of shape. I usually use copper or silver wire.
I hadn't thought of making brooches out of it. What do you use for the pin part?

They're lovely.

Where can you get aluminium wire from?

For the pin, i use the metal pins with 1 or 2 holes... don't know the name in english... i use craft wire to attach the pin to the design.

You don't need to have a techique for this... you just follow your mod our the bead... wrap around... very simple.

You can find the aluminium wire also in my online store (www.artibolas.eu) in different sizes and colors.

I also tried to use the wire in bracelets but this is to soft... but it's great for rings!!!

You use a mandrel, roll around the size you want with the wire and them you put a large hole bead in the wire and ends rolling around again, but this time in the bead.
