So, we've sewn up (sorry, had to go there!) this particular thread. I think it is definitely a case of the emperor's new clothes! Or too much money and b****r all taste or sense from some buyers!
I love the 'triple reel' necklace, a brilliant sense of composition and colour co-ordination.
If UK-Beaders ever have the equivalent of The Turner Prize, perhaps this piece could win - maybe we should organize our own 'Turner' each year and see just how wild we can go - any takers?

Oh, Just had to add, Hubby has just made a 'Puppy Pendant' - he has strung our Andrex puppy from cord and is now wearing it around his neck!
Piccies tomorrow - only £1000 to a good home.

PAH!!! I think the creation here is nicer and you get a whole THREE spools!!! Maybe it could be used if you needed to use the thread on the go? lol... Maybe not?

Definately a case of 'the emperors new clothes' I can't believe that anyone would actually consider buying that.
and did you notice this:
"Please note that due to the materials involved colourways of thread used may vary from necklace to necklace."
You can't even pick your own colour.

That could be a selling point - include a free needle with every sale! _________________ Becky

But on a slightly more serious note, why is the V&A (surely one of the UK's most famous institutions) selling jewellery from France, Germany, Hong Kong and Shanghai rather than things created here in the UK by local designers?
