I bought a lovely book a few weeks ago called 'It's all about the beads!' by Barbara Case and it's British. There is a section at the beginning about tools and findings and how to section. It's got over 100 projects and it's lovely eye candy. The Designer Gallery is stunning and features lots of beads made by Tuffnell Glass in East Yorks. It was a reasonable price too £12.99 and I got my copy in Waterstones, it's most probably a bit cheaper at Amazon.

The other recommendation is for a book I received as a birthday present. The book is called 'Designs for Beaded Jewellery using Glass Beads' by Maria Di Spirito published by Search Press. It's only a little (A5) soft back book and the price on the back is £7.99. Not sure where my friend bought it from and to be honest I'd never seen it before. This is another book with lots of eye candy, not much on the technical side, but lots of inspiration. The author works in a bead shop in Milan, Italy and there are a few references to the shop and website

I have to agree with Alison, 'It's all about the beads' is a fantastic book, Its very clear and the pictures are stunning. I was just flicking thorugh it to see if there was a particular piece that I liked but they are all beautiful.

I bought Barbara's book from the regular book shop. Way more expensive than buying online, but I don't regret it. I e-mailed her asking about one of a couple of beads she used so I can add that she is a very friendly person too. Mr. Green

I'll have to check out the other book soon. Sounds great. Thanks for the tips. Very Happy

All 3 of Barbara's books are brilliant. Got her first years ago and used to buy beads off her also.
