I was flicking through the December of Bead and Button this morning and came across an advert for 'Snapeez - The snapping jump ring'.

It doesn't give anymore information about them really apart from there is no soldering needed and they come in SS and GF.

I was just wondering if anyone has used them before and what exactly the difference is. I can only assume from the name that they are easier to open and close (maybe 'snapping' together once opened and attached?)

Also is it just me or does Bead and Button seem to have much more adverts in it than projects and articles?

If you click on the find out more button below the snapeez pic you will find a demo.

From what I can tell they are made from hard sterling silver so they have quite a bit of spring to them. I think you could probably get the same effect with an ordinary jump ring tapped till it's hard and then wiggled like the demo shows. I will have a go later to see.

Hi

I got a sample some time ago and they closed very neatly indeed. They are StS which I rarely use, so I haven't actually use them in any jewellery. Not sure what I did with it hough Embarassed

I might get some as someone had asked me a few weeks ago for a special order - I'll let you know if I do and how they ''look''.

Bea

Stacey

This soo wierd, I have just got back from states and obviously spent far too much money on beading magazines - as we don't get any, and saw snapeze and wanted some, so thanks for bringing up topic.

Also I have to agree, way tooo much adverts, in Beadstyle over half the mag is adverts, I get it pays the way etc, but thats alot espically considering you pay quite an amount for the magazine. Brick wall

Bea
Please order in cause I would love some.
