Inspired by the warm weather and a desire to stock up the freezer with scrummy ice cream, this months challenge theme is Neapolitan Sweet Treats. Why Neapolitan - simply because Mr moderator likes Chocolate ice-cream, I love Strawberry, so with neapolitan we can meet in the Vanillary centre! Mr. Green

Your creation must be in the colours (Strawberry) pink, (Vanilla) cream & (Chocolate) brown - and it must contain all three colours, not just one or two!!! You can use metallics (after all where would we be without findings and spacers) I'll count them as the spoon in your bowlful of ice creamy goodness, but no other colours please. Wink

To enter all you need to do is post up a picture of your creation in this thread, and tell us of a little bit about your creation.

You can enter any bead, beaded or jewellery item. Don't forget that also covers/includes wire work, metal work, polymer clay, lampwork, accessories trinkets, and jewellery etc!

All you need to remember is that you can only enter one piece (or set) per challenge.

The closing date is the last day of July.

Sunny Sunny Sunny

Hmmmmm.... I might just have some things in my stash that fit this challenge. In fact, I got cab from Tan today that reminds me of a neopolitan ice cream sandwich! Once I figger out how to bead cabs (any pointers, anybody?), I'll get to work!

Edit:
Oh, I have a question. The cab has a caramely-color stripe; is a little caramel syrup allowed?

Edit again, sorry:
I found a wire-wrapping site and followed the directions to wrap a cab. I made a pretty beaded pendant with silver-plated wire, round tigers-eye, pearls, and rhodonite (I think) chips. In the center is the cab Tan sent me, and around the edges are seed beads and seed pearls in neopolitan colors. I also threw on a music note charm and a flower charm, because what summer would be complete without music and flowers, right? And now that I have it finished, there's a silvery stripe in the cab that I never noticed before!

I'll get a picture up tomorrow, sometime between class and therapy. If it doesn't qualify exactly, that's ok; it's the first thing I've completed in a long time that wasn't a gift for somebody!

Third edit (last one, promise):

Here 'tis! The flower charm is on the lower right side; a little hard to see in the picture, but it's silver.

Here's my Neopolitan inspired offering. 'Pinks and Browns' (sorry I can never think of good names for my pieces) is a right angled weave bracelet using a mix of pinks and browns!

Love all of the entries so far. Sarah, the pendant looks just delicious, and Susan those are lovely pins. I really like your RAW bracelet Jacqueline. Aren't those colours wonderful to work with (as long as you can stay away from the freezer while working Laughing !

I love these neapolitan colours, pink, cream and brown are gorgeous together aren't they!

I used to make a range of memory wire bracelets and I called the pink and brown one "Cupcake", yum yum Very Happy
