We're going too, although nowhere near ready as usual!! I do plan in advance when to start packing etc but it never quite works out!
Looking forward to it though, and if I do look a little tired it will probably be because I won't have been to bed the night before, oh to be extremely organised!
Hope to see you there _________________ Norma

Has anyone seen a floor plan yet? There doesn't seem to be one on the beads up north website.

The Seahorse and I are coming on Sunday. We will come and say hello to any of you who have a stall, but we were also wondering if anyone wants to meet up? It would be nice to put some faces to names. I don't really know how we are going to identify ourselves, but we were thinking of being around the cafe area at midday. Anyone got a more specific location for meeting??
Best wishes, April and Sam x |

I asked if we were getting a floor plan, unloading details etc and was told it would not be available to me until the day. Seems like a recipe for confusion to me.

Please come and say 'Hi' to us on our stall... We're about 50% ready with a ton more to do before setting off on Sunday morning.
See you on Sunday...

Well I am back from beads uo north and my wallet is slightly lighter...and my stash slightly heavier!
It was fab and I will definately be going next year too. Some REALLY talented lampworkers out there and some really lovely beads!!
I stood and watched the Tuffnell's glass demo and it was facinating!!
Anyway...I raided both Julie's and Jeanette's stalls and bought lots of their individual beads!! They are LOVELY!!! and can't wait to get started with them!!!
I also raided the Bead sisters stall! I got a byzntine pink and purple kit and some pink rings to have a go at the earrings from issue 10 of bead. I also treated myself to some SS rings to make MYSELF a Hana Gusari anklet from the Whyte and Taylor book. They were SO helpful at beadsisters with my ID and gague questions!! Haha!
I also treated myself to some new pliers - beadsmith ones. My old one are ones I got from Hobbycraft when I first started around 4 years ago. My cutters are a bit naffed and most are not specific jewellery ones - other than my round nosed ones I bought especially when I realised why I couldn't do small loops!!!
Anyway...had a lovely morning and really inspired to do some beading! |
