Well got back from a couple of very enjoyable hours at Haydock with my matey Denise and despite saying I wasn't going to buy anything ended up with some glass and some beads from Julie that just screamed at me to buy them ( yes they are purple Laughing )
Managed to meet Julie finally who said she would have known me even if she had walked past me in the street - not sure if that is good or bad ROTFL Also met Janette - fab beads and I was sooooooooooooooooo tempted. Dragonfly Lynne was also there and I'm sure it was you following us not us following you Lynne Wink
Sorry to have missed a few people who were there but Denise and I now know where the village from hell is!!!!!!!!! ROTFL ROTFL

We chatted to Celia too, and Mike and Sue Poole, and Lynne kept following us so we had a chat or two with her too (and her lovely friend who makes jewellery to die for!) Like Claire, I went along just to say hello too, but ended up buying some glass (Claire kept pointing out lovely colours to me), a few tools (Claire said I'd need them) and a Lovely Lush lentil (for which I needed no prompting Wink ). A lovely afternoon and I'm really glad I braved the motorway and went Daisy

I had a lovely day, it was fab to meet so many folks - bead fairs are like mini forum parties! Party!

I'm all pooped out, but I just can't help myself - I've got new glass and I've gotta have a play NOW!

I'm back after a fabulous day meeting loads of forum members and fellow beadaholics.

They made the mistake of putting me next to Alison (Davies) with Martin Tuffnell opposite doing his demos. We couldn't resist winding him up, asking for demonstrations of how to use the bead pressess and taking the mickie. Martin didn't take it lieing down and gave us a hard time too, but it was all in good fun. After all that we didn't buy a press, but I bought some gorgous new glass from CIM to play with.

It's so nice putting faces to the names of members, it really makes a difference. I had loads of beadie gossip and even made a few sales - thank you to all of you I really appreciate your nice comments and support.

I agree with Julie, bead fairs are like forum parties - how about some wine and canapes at the next one?

Jeanette

We got back around 7pm which is an absolute luxury for us, we love shows that are local.

So many of Mike's past students stopped by, it was lovely to see them again. And I finally got my chocolate biscuit this time, hand-delivered! As usual it was great to meet up with loads of people from here, so many friendly and talented people on this forum.

I'm a bit late posting, but I just wanted to say how great it was meeeting so many of you at the bead fair. Everyone was so lovely and it was good to put faces to names.

Aprilbeads and I had a fab day. My bead stash is certainly heavier, but my purse somewhat lighter!

All the best

Sam Heart
