I am really wanting to try to make some clay beads and have been reading lots of things about it. If you want to make bicones most articles say you need a square acrylic roller to do it and I've looked everywhere I can think of to find one without success. Does anyone know of somewhere to get one or of something else I can use? Embarassed
It's probably very obvious but I can be such a dimwit sometimes. Laughing
Thank you.

It probably means an acrylic block that you stick unmounted stamps to. That's what I use for swirl beads. Any craft website should have them.

You just need a small flat bit of glass or other see-through material like this:

There's a bit of a knack to it but it is easier to get the bicones than the swirly lentils which are the next stage, if you want to try those!

Good luck!

Carrie is right about the bi cones being easier but once you master swirlies you will be hooked. I don't buy many clasps now I just make a swirly and use it as a toggle

Thank you, Carrie and Cherie.
I haven't tried either yet but I do eventually want to do the swirlies. I love them. Bit scared though, but at least it isn't as scary as the thought of lamp work. Laughing

Acrylic stamp blocks are just perfect. I would avoid using glass anything to roll or squish clay, since it can sometimes break and risk nasty cuts to the hands.

Ask me how I know this.... ROTFL Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall
