OK, I've made these necklaces up (some still need clasps) but I haven't decided if I like them or not. DH doesn't like them as the beads aren't uniform sizes and shapes. This is not always a problem but I'll need to live with these for a bit.

First one is Celtic Discs choker - quite high on my neck probably about 15.5 inches. Shell pearls, plated metal (except for the crimps).

This one is just called Tablets at the moment. Spacers are haematite and dichroic glass wrap beads. Haematite beads make up the rest of the necklace. Sterling silver.

This last one is those 'what the heck' beads which reminded me of tan's raku beads. This sort of became a bit japanese. Knotted silk cord. Not clasp yet. The 'u' bead is a kazuri flying boat.

I still have to do something with the 'scrappy doodles'. I do have some beads that will go. I will probably do a knotted necklace with one of them.

All opinions welcome - even less than glowing reviews!

I really like the first two. Chunky beads are in at the moment and I think those colours will go great with denim.
I'm not sure about the focal on the third. Is it two beads or one? If it is two I would prefer to have them on separate necklaces. It just seems a bit too big and bulky to me. But I prefer small necklaces so feel free to ignore me !! Very Happy

Oh, I like, I like. I'm not so sure about the japanese one but that's because I think it will look better worn. I absolutely love the first two (OK if I HAVE to choose, it has to be the top one) and I think they deserve some (proper) silver lurrrrve Heart Heart Heart

Thanks for the feedback gals - I appreciate it a lot!

The 'japanese' sort of design - I keep thinking netsky for some reason - is mad. I'll try to get a better pic of it. Actually it would work without the polyclay beads which are quite big but should be just below the collar bones (I think).

Done a few more beadies today. Trying to improve the uniformity and the finish. I've done some simple tab beads and peacock eye beads. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Daisy

I like the Japanese-y one too, it is indeed a bit mad, but what's wrong with that? Very Happy
Those chunky ones are nice too, and would go with almost anything Thumbs up

Thanks Lorraine , Thanks Lynn - I got bored last night and decided to make a few more beads. DH stopped me putting them in the oven at midnight though Shocked

Anyway hoping to get better pic of the Raku knotted. Also some pics of my beads from early yesterday.

This is a bit addictive isn't it Shocked

Michele

For me the hardest part is using my bead creations but you've done a fabulous job! Very well done indeed!!! Clap

I like those bicones with the scrappy beads...looking forward to seeing what you end up with, though Daisy

I haven't seen the dichroic glass wrap beads before - very pretty! Are thay hand made? Could you make something similar using the foils you've used in the other beads?

They are all great!

Loving the effects you are getting already with the clay. Didn't we say it was addictive?

Lol

Thanks Emma - it is. I'm having to tell myself 'use what you have and then you can get more'. Laughing
