Yay, finally got hold of a copy - well done Tammy, I enjoyed reading your profile and that is such a romantic story!
We're doing well at taking the mag over, aren't we?
Congratulations to everybody who's in print, and keep sending in those projects! _________________ Lynn

Darn...it sounds like a great issue but I won't get to a whsmith that stocks it till the weekend You'd think the smiths in Kings Cross station London would have it, but nope, neither of them do...yet the infinitely smaller smiths in the nearest town to me does - weird! _________________

Well done everyone. You must all be feeling very pleased. I've had a good paw through Aprilbeads' copy and it was great to see so many Uk-beaders included.
All the best

Apparently we've had our name changed by deed poll to be Mike and Su Tillerman.
Several people asked us this weekend if we were the same people as the other Tillerman Beads people.
From what I can gather there are a number of British Lampwork people who were not featured in the article, rumour has it that they'll appear in the next issue. _________________

That's a great article - I really enjoyed learning a bit more about all our talented lampworkers
It does say in the article that it's a 'two parter' and that the remaining 10 members will be included in the next issue of Bead

Since I'm now the proofreader for Bead I can lay the 'rumour' to rest as I've seen the pdf of part 2, which will be in the next issue. Britlamp just has too many talented members to be squeezed into one article!
(And no, I didn't see the proof of part 1, I only got the job a couple of days ago!) Mike is in there and he is definitely down as Mike Poole - along with some gorgeous photos of stripey and dotty beads - together with Julie Merrett, Lesley McFarland, Julie Lush, Amanda Mango, RedHotSal, Claire Rowanberry, Sharon Reynolds, Josephine Wadman and Tuffnell Glass Serious eye candy!
Probably shouldn't have told you that though _________________ Lynn

I got my copy from EJR,( thanks Emma ) and was thrilled to bits to see so many familiar names. I'm even guessing who the designer is before I see the name, it's amazing and I never would have thought I could do that!
Well done everyone _________________ Mamma x |
