Despite having hardly any clay left I just had to get it out after recent posts.
These are made using inks, foil and stamps with translucent on white. I am really disappointed with the photos - they a have a lovely shine and the colour is deeper IRL.
Two sides of the same.

Oh those are lovely! Have you used translucent over a coloured base? _________________

Gorgeous, Di. Love your colour choice.
I love using that technique too, it's well impressive. _________________ LORRAINE

Wow Di those are really unusual. Quite Chinese looking. Love them. _________________ Hilary

Whizz - you can do it! It just takes time. I was really pleased with these but sometimes my efforts are rubbish.

Can I ask a question? When you stamp an image, do you press so the clay is imprinted ? In which case do you leave the impression in or smooth it, I would think smoothing it would distort the pattern. _________________ Nan

Hi Nan - no you don't press hard for this technique. I painted alcohol ink on the first layer of translucent, then I put some bits of foil (easy metal) on the next one and stamped on it with stazon ink, then another layer - as thin as possible on top. I used white clay for the base. I think it's best to use a stamp with quite fine lines so that the black doesn't overwhelm it.
HTH.
