Really, I don't, unless it's selling at shows, so I don't spend too much money on myself - shopping etc - but last summer I treated myself to one of Barbara Ennis' (Oakwood Glass) lovely watches. She works with dichroic and fused glass, and makes beautiful bowls, plates etc. as well as a range of watches and earrings. She has a stand near mine at various shows, including the Royal Welsh, and I love looking at her work. So I decided I deserved another treat this summer, and bought this new watch for myself last week.
If any of you had the dubious pleasure of meeting me in Nantwich a few months ago, you'll know I have a penchant for lime green kaftans. It'll come as no surprise therefore when I say that this watch had my name all over it!

I have a thing about watches, even though I've never bought many, and my main watch is very inexpensive, but to be honest, once I saw Barbara's lovely ones last year I decided to splash out a little. And I would far rather support a talented person like her than spend the equivalent in a high street shop and end up with something that millions of others are wearing.
My first from her was an amethysty/pink, now I have green, I think a blue one might be on the cards for next summer!
Like I said, I don't get out much ........

Good for you in treating yourself Nia! We always put everyone else first. The watch is beautiful and if you are the fan of lime green kaftans that you say you are - you'll be wearing it and enjoying it a lot! Very Happy

It makes my cheap Asda children's watch look rather sad. Sadly, though, I seem to steam all my watches and destroy the workings! Brick wall
