Just some feedback on one of the suppliers above (Heritage) I ordered this late on Thursday and reckoned I wouldn't get it till Monday but got it today (Saturday). I bought two bottles.

I've ordered some imitation silver and gold leaf with some containers from Lawrences art supplies.

I've used the Klear on a new display idea which used all of my silver leaf! I've also put one coat (so far) on my giant lentil (ala Lorraine's tutorial) and I may leave it at that or maybe one more coat. I like the method for focals (large ones) but not too sure for lots of use (takes a lot of time to finish and I don't have power tools).

I think i've tried most things and Klear is defo my fav, you can just put the one coat on for more of a subtle look or build it up for more of a glossy look Very Happy

Yes, I like Klear too, though I only varnish if I've got leaf etc now. I must dash off and stock up!

I am rather a hasty sort of person - so don't do what I did and assume that the Klear is totally set after several hours just cos it feels it....I turned my pieces over onto the newspaper to do the other side and they were marked Crying

I haven't made many fimo beads but the ones I used klear on I put on wood skewers and stuck them in polystyrene so I could do both sides at once. I like klear too because you can build it up and it doesn't have that 'plastic' look that a lot of varnishes have.

Yes, I usually do them on toothpicks, mamma, but had the mishap doing my flat and hole-less "poker chips" for the swap at the Clay Carnival Crying

I got my bottle last year at an independant traditional hardware shop - and I saw some today in another - but small expensive size so didn't stock up..... Rolling Eyes
