Hello :)

Hi,

I'm Antonia & I've just discovered this board, so thought I'd come along and join. It looks like a good place to be, especially as I'm still very much a novice, when it comes to beading.

I live in Salisbury (anyone nearby), and have been here for almost 2 years. I live at home with my husband & two puss cats. Sadly, there are no children as I have endometriosis.

Beading, for me, is just a hobby. Something I dip into every now and then, when I feel well enough. It's something else to do, instead of reading or watching daytime TV. It keeps me sane & I love coming up with quirky designs for friends and family. I prefer to make easy things, such as bracelets and long necklaces, then I don't have to worry about clasps. I've started to make some earrings & so far, so good. I just need more practice.

I'm sure I'll be back, when I have a moment of panic or inspiration- and I'm hoping to make some new friends along the way.

Thank you for setting up this site. I'll pass it along to my friend who beads as well. Maybe she'll join up too Smile

Hi Antonia and welcome to the forum. I lived in Salisbury (Wilton to be exact!) for two years when I first joined the army, it was a lovely place to start my army career.

I used to avoid clasps too - but I think being a member of this forum really helped me learn new techniques and give things a go!
