Having almost had my fingers burned by catching a high risk virus whilst doing my own search on the web, I'm here to ask if anyone knows where I can find instructons for a swarovski bicone cube and/or ball.
Thanks alot.

Hi
Not sure if this is the kind of thing you're after, but if you do a simple right angle weave with 28 guage wire, 12 beads in total I think will give you a lovely sparkly ball when you join the ends together. I've got the pattern in a book; I'll dig it out for you!

The first small beaded bead is really easy. Its basically just a little strip joined into a ring. You have to make sure the thread is tight though otherwise it goes out of shape. At the end I put one end of the thread through the centre so the knot is underneath the last bead. If it's made with 4mm bicones it comes out about 1 to 1 1/2cm (or just under half an inch).

The very one, Melanie! If you use the 28 gauge wire it will hold its shape better.

Thank you so much both of you. I hope I can help others as you have helped me!

I look forward to trying both the ideas you have given me.

I'm still on the lookout though for other made up Swaro shapes - but not a heart. I'm perfectly satisfied with the one I have. Oh, if anyone would like my heart pattern, please PM me.

I know there is a french site with beaded animal patterns but the bookmark must have been on my old ( now frazzled) hard drive.

Those beaded animals are lovely and I really love penguins too but I find her patterns too confusing. I really can only learn things from videos.

I'm not sure if this is what you want- the final result looks like

but in the middle is a beaded ball... I think, it's a bit too small to see. There's a tutorial on Youtube in two parts, the

Thanks Daisybelle and Melanie.
Sorry I haven't been back to the board to thank you sooner but when I followed up the Youtube recommendation I got caught up and carried away with all the jewellery making videos there. In spite of the varying quality, some are really very interesting aren't they.
