i have never reviewed a book before but here goes-- i like to try bits of everything but all the while my true love hasbeen spirals so when i saw this i had to have it
MINERVA SPIRALS BY THE MINERVA BEADERS
THIS IS A DIFFERENT SORT OF BOOK IN THAT PART OF THE MONEY R
AISED BY SALES GOES TOBINGARI PRIMARY SCHOOL in ZINBABWE
it cost £10 from stitchncraft
i was hoping for different spirals but this is the basic spiral and then dressed up-- and how!! what these beaders have done is amazing-different beads/size/colours make a multitude of variations-theres one called flamenco that looks af it turns inside out-then theres adding embelishments- different closures-how to make earings and finally a gorgeous collection of spirals done in varied colour palettes- altogether a really enjoyable eye fest and great to improve your range of spirals--some explanations are very detailed and others assume you have read he relevant chapter -only a small book and ring bound so it will stand up in front of you--in my opinion a delightful little book i am very happy with my purchase! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I have also bought this book. I have read bits of it often before I have actually started a spiral. Of course, I have started a spiral at the back of the book. Its the one that Pollie mentioned - the flamenco. The instructions are good, easy to follow and they give suggestions of variations for you to try.
I also recommend this book.

Just picked up this book and love it!

so many variations on the basic spiral and a lot of suggestions - I can see myself going back to this book time and time again.

The first chapter talks you through the basic stitch which I would have thought would be perfect for beginners (and old hands alike!) and then from there you build on that basic techinque. You can go as adventerous or as tame as you want.

Great little book and it is nice to think you are helping a charity that seems to be doing really good work, so often you worry about giving to charity and the money never quite getting were it should.
