Hi all,
I'm new to using delicas. I've bought some size 11/0 miyuki ones. But I now fancy some of the colours in the Toho.
Does anyone know if there is much of a difference in them?Size, shape etc
Will they make much of a difference to the finished item?
At the moment will be doing toggles/beaded beads, then onto flat watch straps etc.

Hello Freda, how nice to see you again
'Fraid I can't help though, I've dabbled with a few miyuki delicas but never tried the toho ones, so I don't know how the sizes compare.
Do the two companies (or any of the bead wholesalers perhaps) have any technical specifications on their websites that might help?
Look forward to seeing what you make, whatever size it turns out to be! _________________ Lynn

Well, I know I've seen the size somewhere, but I can't find it again.
I think there is a difference in size though. If I can find it I'll let you know, or probably someone else will know.

Thanks both. I've found out Toho are 1.8mm-now I'll try to find out more about Miyuki ones.
Been around & about-popping in to catch up when I can.
Best bit-I've started bead weaving classes-yeh-just another excuse to buy more-I've never quite got what is needed for each lesson!!!Or maybe I'm just making up excuses to spend on beads!
Great to meet with others interested in the same hobby.
Trying hard to resist buying ever colour I fancy in delicas now
love Freda |

I think delicas may be about 2.2mm. When Peter's back online he'll know.
