I was just wondering, what do people here use and where do you get it from?

Now I've heard our US friends use Dawn and I know that Fairy Liquid is not quite its equivalent ( I can't find the original non concentrated anyway) so I'm looking at various soap/burnishing powders. Prices vary so much though. Any suggestions?

I've used shavings from a bar of Simple soap and Ecover (the environmentally friendly washing up liquid) both successfully. I might be wrong but I think the important thing is that whatever you use doesn't have too many additives like scents and whatever.

I use simple soap as well, bought a dedicated veg peeler so I can shave peelings of soap off the bar to chuck in the tumbler!

good old dishwashing liquid does it for me with never a problem
