Hi all
We are thinking about starting to go to a few fairs in 2008/09 and seeing as we are close to Norwich thought it would be a good place to start!
Does anyone have contact details for the organisers plus an idea of the rates for next year?
Im not sure it would be worthwhile so any views/advice really appreciated... we are a relatively small supplier (we only trade in a small way on EBAY at present and Im still 2000+ images short of even finishing my e-commerce website!)
Thanks

Hi Paul,
The Norwich Bead Fair is an 'invited' event, they invite different people each time and then when those are agreed they allow repeat requests for previous exhibitors but they try and change it each time. I own a bead shop in Norwich and we were invited to attend but will not be doing so, purely because of logistics with our opening hours.
I can't remember the rates but I remember thinking it was not very expensive. I'll try and find the contact details of the lady who organises and let you know. It will be a day or two though as I am not at the shop for a few days.
Sorry, not much help was I really!

Which Norwich Bead fair? It seems that there are now two.
There is one at the end of April which has been running for a few years now, Gill Riorden was one of the organisers I believe. But having looked at Tillerman Beads events page recently there seems to be a new "Bead and Glass fair" starting up in August which I hadn't heard anything about before now - will have to nag Su for some info I think
On a separate note, it's great to see another supplier setting up in this part of the world even if only online at present _________________ Helen

I don't have any new info on the 'new' Norwich fair, yet other than the date. The lady who is doing the fair contacted me last year about it, and for the moment the date is all I have to go on.
I'll put in a link or an update when I do know more.

Thanks for your help ... I'll keep googling so hopefully will find someone who is going to get the details from... Im not too worried if I cannot attend next year as Im working on our website as and when I get time and thats probably more important ... I will definately be going along though for a browse and a natter...
I used to sell books at book fairs and found that the most satisfying bit .. just getting out and meeting people, chatting and making friends...
Internet selling is a bit too impersonal for me and we are VERY new to bead selling (less than 18 months now) but its far more interesting than my 'day job'... not that Im getting into the office much this week as we are extremely busy just packing day to day orders.
Fortunately we are at least creating some space as I have another 4 tonnes of seed beads en route to the UK and I dont honestly know where they are going to go at present! _________________ Theres more to life than work!!!!!

I am doing some craft fairs and garden shows in Norwich at the showground later this year. I will be selling (hopefully) my jewellery there. If you want info then let me know and maybe we can get together.

Sorry, been offline for a while (grr at our ex-ISP) and haven't been in to read things for a bit.
I don't know a whole lot more about the show but will see what I can find out.
