Not quite sure whether I should post this here or in beading banter but sure someone will direct me.
I had a general conversation with someone today about the possibility of teaching a class. I don't have any problems about what to teach etc (worries and confidence crisis yes but that's another story).

My question is how much should I charge. The centre I'll be teaching at provide all materials etc so I'm purely looking at my time/travel etc. I know what to charge when I'm making to sell but this is a new ballgame to me and I don't want to pitch too low or too high. Any help, thoughts gratefully received.

This all might come to nothing but I need to be prepared just in case.

I charge for my teaching time at about double the rate I value my 'making' time - but I only charge for the hours I'm actually teaching the class, so this amount has to cover my preparation, photography, handouts, etc. Plus 30p a mile travel expenses, or return rail or whatever, and LUNCH (very important)
