I was thinking of making Daisy Daisy's Daisy godparents a fingerprint gift - thought a pendant and cufflinks. 2 Questions:

Do I need to use a compound or can I press daisy's finger straight into the clay?

Where would I buy the cufflinks and how do I attach the fingerprint to them

Thanks

Yes, you can put the print straight into the clay.

However, young children have very shallow prints, so sometimes it actually helps to use a moulding compound as that seems to enhance the print (press finger into compound, let dry, take another mould of the mould, press the second mould into the metal clay).

You can buy cufflinks at Cooksons Gold or Palmers metal. If you can, solder the metal clay onto the cufflink. Otherwise, use a good quality two component glue!
