Oh Alohabc,

You're so lucky! To live so near Gordon - I'm jealous. I would jump at the chance of taking another course with him, and Hawaii doesn't sound like a bad place to go either.... Cool

You'll have a fabulous time, enjoy it! And make sure you post photos here - just in case I can't manage to go! Very Happy

I have tried hard - but he isn't keen on the long travel. But I still have plans, so keep an eye out... Cool

OK, so why did no-one post here that Gordon is coming to the UK????

The pre conference class is full, but is he just coming for the conference or have any of you wonderful Art Clay people managed to persuade him to stay and give a class or two? Wink

Well,

we were just about to announce the Art Clay World EU Conference but you got there first! Until now it has only been open to Art Clay UK Guild members.

But, now, anyone can sign up.

It is a fabulous event, and really, if you are interested in metal clay you can't miss it! It will be the biggest metal clay event in Europe.

Even though the pre-conference master class with Gordon Uyehara is full (so sorry, it was full in a couple of days!) he is doing two three-hour classes during the conference. (Warning - they are nearly full too, so if you're interested, don't wait too long.)

We also have Robert Dancik (man behind faux bone) as a keynote speaker, and some other fascinating classes from a selection of the top UK metal clay and jewellery making tutors. I can't wait!

Have a look at http://www.artclayconference.co.uk
for more info.

I will post a separate message about the conference soon.

Gordon was only coming for the conference, but maybe we can arrange something at my studio in Dorset if there are enough people interested...? If you are - email me! Idea

By the way - I am the same Petra as above called "silverclay". For some reason my password stopped working all of a sudden, and then I could never get back into my old account!

I've just seen this and I am very tempted. A chance to learn from a master Mr. Green

I feel very luckly that I have managed to get a place on the master class day at the Art Clay conference in Sepetember, thanks to Petra for arranging this.

I am also taking my Level 2 certificate at the end of the month going to book it today.
