I am really wanting to try to make some clay beads and have been reading lots of things about it. If you want to make bicones most articles say you need a square acrylic roller to do it and I've looked everywhere I can think of to find one without success. Does anyone know of somewhere to get one or of something else I can use?
It's probably very obvious but I can be such a dimwit sometimes.
Thank you. _________________ Hilary |

It probably means an acrylic block that you stick unmounted stamps to. That's what I use for swirl beads. Any craft website should have them.

You just need a small flat bit of glass or other see-through material like this:

There's a bit of a knack to it but it is easier to get the bicones than the swirly lentils which are the next stage, if you want to try those!
Good luck! _________________ Caroline. |

Carrie is right about the bi cones being easier but once you master swirlies you will be hooked. I don't buy many clasps now I just make a swirly and use it as a toggle |

Thank you, Carrie and Cherie.
I haven't tried either yet but I do eventually want to do the swirlies. I love them. Bit scared though, but at least it isn't as scary as the thought of lamp work. _________________ Hilary |
