I'm a pratt.
My craft room is my conservatory so it gets a little warm in there to say the least.
For a very long time now I've been meaning to take all my clay out and store it somewhere cooler, but did I do it? Nope.
I really struggled to condition some clay yesterday so today I thought I'd check the whole lot. What a waste. I've had to throw out every single cane, a whole pile of scrap clay and about ¾ of my stock of packaged, unused blocks. I cut a bit off every one to see if it was workable and no luck.
Now, I have to get a bank loan to replace everything. Even though some of the colours I'd never used, it would be sods law that I'd want it if I haven't got it.
I WILL NOT make the same mistake again.
Off to Polymer Clay Pit...................................whoosh. _________________ LORRAINE

What a bummer !!!
It's a bit late now, but I assume they were cooked already. You may have been able to slice them as they were and made plain square pendants.

Nah, they were useless, Melanie.
More like 'half baked' (a bit like me, ) and really crumbly. I couldn't do a damned thing with any of it.
Ah well, I had fun upping the Clay Pit's profit last night. That much clay, it's coming by courier. _________________ LORRAINE

Lorraine - do you buy lots of colours or do you mix your own? I need to buy but can't decide what to do.

Ah, ha. Both! but only 'cause I have to have everything. I'm a hoarder see.
Mixing them is a better option but make sure you have the primary colours and you'll be away then. I use Premo and they mix beautifully and come literally in an artists palette so they fabulous to mix.
Go take a peek at this thread I posted some time ago, hun.

Oh what a bummer I hate wasting clay - did you just buy what you had lost or did you get extra this and more of that?
How do you find premo for strength after baking coz I am getting very frustrated with fimo? _________________

Ummmmm, well.....got more!!! I did replace every bar that was ruined though but thought I may as well get a bit extra in the metallics, black, white and translucent. I'm skint now. Ha, ha.
Premo is brilliant for strength, hun. In fact, in my opinion (and many others too) it's the best. Kato is also very strong when baked but I can't stand the stuff as it's sooooooooooo difficult to condition. Takes me 3 times as long as Premo and a few bars of that went in the bin too.
One of the best things about Premo is that it actually maintains some flexibility after baking. Nothing you'd notice (except on very thin pieces) but this helps the stress factors and stops any brittleness. _________________ LORRAINE

Awwww, thanks, hun. That's really nice of you to say so.
But, if you go bankrupt on Premo, don't blame me, OK??? _________________ LORRAINE
