Hi from a fellow newbie
I actually do know someone who ended up beading via the NHS... long story, heh. There are occupational therapists around who make jewellery, though, and I think any way to get into beading is a good way

Absolutely, I think I may have to speak with the powers that be in work and see if it is a possibility. My own humble beginings into the beading world came out of a stubborn desire to make my other half a haematite bracelet as the ones I bought him always broke. Several months later and spending enough money to pay the mortgage for my local bead shop, I am a complete addict and proud of it. I think it is a wonderful way to indulge your creative side
