Here are some experiments in white. I'm not finished with them but I thought I'd show you before I ruin them Laughing These are on my flickr

I'm hoping to produce stained glass style pendants / earrings / beads with some of these. The scrolled shield kind of evolved from a simple circle in circle on circle that I was going to do the 'stained glass' thing and use resin on the central part. But I got a bit carried away with the leftover clay! Not sure what to do with it now.

The only lentil/tab that had a hole made with a toothpick you can see - the rest were baked with no holes and I've drilled them with an engraving pen (works for small stuff but not recommended)

I'm sure there is a mathmatical equation that tells you how many fuglies you have to make before you produce a good un. I'm pleased with my progress on producing better shapes with fewer finger marks. I'm sure I'll make a pigs ear when I get near the inks. I did try acryllic paints but that had a limited success. I've made some earrings with the best of that lot but it was good to know that deccagel doesn't produce as clear or shiny a finish as I would like.

Hiya

These look really nice Rainbow Like the crackled look. I wouldnt even dream of putting any pictures of my attempts on site, so you should be really happy with the beads.

Give me a few months! and may pluck up the courage Embarassed

They are no longer white and silver! I've been playing with acryllic paint and inks! Not sure yet whether I like the results or not. Laughing

Well - that's what it's all about at this stage, isn't it - playing around!

I keep trying to convince myself of that, make myself use the stuff, getting over the fear of wasting anything Very Happy

I shall have to see what they look like now after I get back next week - there'll be lots of lovely polyclay work for me to oogle, at the rate you're going Thumbs up
