OOOOOOOOOOO, a topic about jewellery wearing Thumbs up .

Unlike many guys, i love jewellery and wearing lots n lots of it. Until i started mailing proper i was known for my huge collection of chunky chunky silver rings, bracelers etc etc. Think rockstar n you'd be very close to what i have *as several pieces came from a well known jeweller to the music biz*. Now that is my image, biker/rockmuso, alternative pretty much. After gettin into mailing i noticed a distinct lack of chunkiness for us dudes. So my first few pieces are along that line. Nice chunky stainless *alas no pics at present*, although today i'm only wearing a jap 12-2 bracelet chunky as hell Wink , an inverted round necklace, even chunkier, but i have gone small n sensible with the rings, two stainless euro4-1 and two sterling 4-1's the rings look real cool as they are all in different ring sizes. Oh the bracelet n necklace are stainless too. When not wearing the above i'm usally seen sporting roundmail bracelet n necklace, byzatine brace n neck, bees to butterflies brace and a forars kaede neck.

Can ya tell i love me shiny shiny Mr. Green Wink

I now am wearing...a handmade silver and garnet ring (not handmade by me tho Very Happy), and I normally wear either the gorgeous pendant that Julie gave me in the Christmas swap, or a silver and crystal one given to me by an old friend. Would wear earrings if I could find any matching pairs! No longer wear engagement ring, but still have a scar around my finger from it!

I always wear the same rings, wedding ring, engagement ring and a celtic ring.

I have a necklace of talismen that has become a superstition to wear every day. It has a piece of jade I bought in Kansu st jade market the first time I worked in Hong Kong, an Egyptian scarab I bought when I learned to scuba dive, my great grandmother's cross, a gold chinese letter that's the first letter of my name in chinese that I bought for myself when I got my master's degree, and a little gold rocket charm (NASA Friendship 7 - the first US rocket to orbit the earth) which I bought when I became I chartered engnieer. The last one was partly cos it amused me to tell my husband I'd bought a space rocket on ebay - he imagined it coming on a lowloader!

Apart from that, my earrings and bracelets are a showcase of the latest thing I've made, currently usually one of the peyote cuffs I've made with matching earrings.

I don't wear jewellery day to day Embarassed . Mainly because being a midwife means jewellery is prohibited unless its a plain wedding ring or plain ear studs!

However, I usually make up for it when I go out!
