Oh, thank you all so much for your lovely, positive comments - I'm glad I plucked up the courage to post the piccies now as you really made my day!

In answer to andypandy's question, I finally (after years of lusting!!) had my very first go at lampworking at the beginning of July by having a little two-hour introductory session with the lovely Manda at Mangobeads, so I learned the basics of wrapping the glass round the mandrel, pulling stringer & stuff, and then I got my torch at the very end of July, so to be honest I've been learning mostly just by trial & error & looking at books & stuff. As I said before, these aren't the very first beads I did - they
really weren't worthy of photographing! - but they were done in the first week of having my torch so I was starting to get the hang of it a bit! And yes George, I am now desperately wanting a kiln, although I can't see that happening any time soon

. It took me nearly three years to get the torch!!

Never mind, I'm going to try & find a kiln to "rent" and try & do some batch-annealing . . . failing that, I may have to sell a kidney or something so that I can buy one

. . .
Thanks again for all your encouragement.
Sarah
