Have had a go at wire wrapping some briolettes for the first time today. Made a pair of earrings with onyx briolettes, a necklace with a swarovski briolette and one peruvian opal and two chalcedony briolette pendants. Have used over a metre of sterling wire as I kept making mistakes and wanted them to be perfect.

I love briolettes - but I must admit to using silver plated wire when I wire wrap them! Its so cheap that you can really go for the big luxury wrap, and I reckon people only really want the earwires to be sterling.

Those look really good! You'll get the hang of them eventually with practice, and then you won't be wasting much wire! Besides... who says messy wraps look bad?? You can say you did them that way accidentally on purpose
