Just got this book today.

The Encyclopedia of Jewellery Making Techniques by Jinks McGrath.
ISBN 1-56138 -526-3

Has everything you could ever ask in this book! Im not intending on doing everything now, but its a book I will dip into over several years.

Topics covered in step by step (colour pictures and writing)

Tools, Acrylics, Annealing, Anodizing, Bending, Casting, Catches and Joints, Chain making, Chasing, Doming and swaging, Enamelling, engraving, etching and photoetching, fusing, forging, Inlaying , mokume gane, oxidising, setting stones and the list goes on!!

Very comprehensive book. Has great reviews which is why I purchased it. Basically its like a college course in a book!! Ive studied design at college and uni so feel this book is very comprehensive.

Great book for those who want to get some other techniques but cant attend classes. Eg, Im in a non english speaking country!

Hi I know this is a late post, I actually really love the book, only problem I have found is that there is nothing in the book about finishing any of the stitches... I would have thought that a huge part of the technique is how to finish it??? Dunno if anyone else thought that too???
