I just payed for a year subscription to bead and button magazine.
The magazine arrived two weeks later here to my house in London and that was really quick.
I opened up the magazine and it was a lovely fat issue and I couldn't wait to dig in.
I started looking at the magazine and by the time I got to the end, I felt like I had payed for a gzillion adverts and only a few projects overflooded by more adverts.
Things like this really make me angry! does anyone feel the same?

There are a lot of ads in Bead & Button, but a lot of good stuff too. I really quite like the ads as it's really handy for finding suppliers.

All the American mags have loads of adverts. I used to find that really annoying too but after a while you start to tune them out and just focus on the projects - don't give up on Bead & Button, there's a lot of useful information and some great projects in there (but none of mine - yet Wink )! Also the ads are handy for finding out who's who and which people's work you like, as lots of them have nice pictures and/or website links, great for having a browse around for inspiration when you can't think what to do next.
Hope you find you like it more when you re-read it!

I hope I get more out of it cause I am stuck with it for a year now.
I will do my best to tune out the ads and tune myself in to the projects.

I don't mind the ads at all although they make me very Mr. Green envious of the quantity and variety of stuff thats available over the water.

I get lots of ideas from the ads and there are so many projects and articles too I think its by far the best mag available.

I know what you mean about the ads, but there are some really nice projects to make up in some of the issues.

I agree Bead & Button can seem like ads, ads and more ads but some of the pics in the ads can give you ideas too and it's handy for sourcing unusual beads. B&B is one of the best mags for projects too so it's worth it despite the ad pages.

I agree - I love Bead & Button - plenty to drool over, and that includes the adverts!

Sometimes an advert alone can inspire you to create something....

i think the odd copy i got of it, i spent more time looking at the adverts than the projects!lol
i think it is hard with a relatively general mag to get things of direct interest for everyone each time...but yes i almost wish they could shove all the ads at the end!!
