I downloaded a tut for this yesterday, but the tension bit is a nightmare - has anyone tried it, and mastered it?
The tut is on

I tried this one yonks ago - loved it - but as you say keeping the tension is tricky ... i don't think i've actually 'finished' a piece using this stitch ROTFL but i think i may try again as i'm sooo inot my beadweaving at the moment.

You need to keep the tension quite tight, but although you can see the thread whilst you are working, you cannot see them once it is on.

Well, I managed to get a bracelet out of it before going insane. Not being any good at loading images - it's on the home page of my website if this doesn't work!

I bought a kit from the Bead Merchant that uses this stitch. The instructions came with the warning to expect the thread to show in some places - just as well cos it does!

The tension is a fiddle especially at the start. Once you've completed a few repeats it seems to be easier to manage. Perhaps 'cos there is more to hold onto. I don't have any magic tricks but if the warning about the thread showing hadn't been given I think I would have been very frustrated and not bothered to finish the piece.

The kit was "Beginners Bead Kit: flowerbud peacock" in case you want to see.

The trick is to make the thread part of the design - use Nymo d in your main flower bead colour. Wink
