by Lynda S. Musante.

I've just bought this book as I want to progress to sculptural work and this book looked to be just what I needed. The cover pic is fab and it says 'use basic techniques to create distinctive designs'.

I figured that it would show you how to build up complicated pieces from simple pieces.

How disappointed am I????? It's a 126 page book and I finally got something I wanted on page 99.

It is literally full of basic information that even I know already.

However, having said that it's a beautifully presented book and for any beginning beaders it would be a superb book.

What sort of projects does it cover, stringing, wire work, seed beads or other stuff?

Oooops, should have said.

All of them, Kitch. It's actually very comprehensive, well illustrated and extremely easy to read.

She also covers the stitching techniques. I would say that for a beginner, they have the lot in one book.

What a pity it didn't live up to expectation!
If you do find a good book on sculptural techniques, please let me know - I am struggling to make the transition from 2D to 3D and would love to know how other beaders do it - you see people making some great sculptural stuff out there but how they learned to do it is a total mystery! I think I'll have to start being cheeky and emailing a load of artists to try to pick up some tips. Or maybe I should try the B&B forum again, but I got lost in there last time I visited - I need a spare week or so just to get my head round all that info...

Awwww, pollie. Thanks for your offer, but I'm actually waiting for that one to arrive.

It was the only other one I could find that looked anything near what I wanted.
