I wondered if any of you tear pages off fashion mags and keep them for inspiration?
I saw this model today in a mag wearing this interesting necklace with beads and chain, and felt like tearing the page and starting an inpiration folder!

Absolutely.
I've even been known to record TV programs when I've seen something I particularly like
I've never actually copied anything exactly but when I'm suffering with beaders block I look at all my books, magazines, websites for inspiration and it never fails to kick start me again.

Yes! My sister often comes round with a pile of bits she's torn out of magazines too I stick them in my ideas notebook.
I've never recorded any tv programs but I do pause DVDs and zoom in to have a good look at an actress's necklace. I saw a great one on Buffy last night which I've got to have a go at!

Yes. I have an old fashioned scrap book that I stick pictures of beady stuff and pretty stuff randomly. I've covered it with lovely paper and often flick through it for inspiration. I often have pockets full of 'pretty' stuff, sometimes I don't know why I saved things when I get them home! I have a little sketch book with some tiny coloured pencils taped inside from muji that i scribble stuff down in. Great habit to get in to. Here are some links from the UK scrappers site, great site check it out with ideas for art journals. They can really help if the mojo goes missing.

I am forever tearing pages and sections out of magazines. So much so, that sometimes I feel embarrased if someone at work asks to borrow a magazine at lunchtime & there is a hole in it!!
I have to try and arrange them in an orderly way...at the moment they are just piled into a lever arch folder. But sometimes I find that I do need that 'spur'..that little something extra.

Definately.I have 4 scrapbooks full of fashion looks when I was into making clothes.
Now I look for colour trends, certain looks, and fashions like the chunky look at the mo and naturals/wood/canvas so I can make jewellery that will look great with it.
My friend suggested that we swop old magazines, I had to warn her I had ripped out a few pages in each mag.
