A short while ago I posted my crystal cluster earrings in the 'Show Your Work' section. I promised I would write up a tutorial for them and I have now posted it to my blog. If you didn't see the earrings the first time here is a little pic:

They are really quite easy to make and a very good way to practice wire-wrapped loops.

Hope you enjoy! Smile

These are delightful and your tutorial is simple and clear. Well done Clare.
But how do you stop the chain turning around when attaching your dangles?
When I work with chain it seems to develop a life of it's own and I have to check very carefully each time I make an addition. Do you have any tips?

I have that problem too! I think it will tend to twist however you try to handle it. You could try attaching it to the earwire first as it might help to have something to hold onto. Glad you enjoyed the tute.

I would try and use a longer length of chain so after you have attached your first few beads to the bottom you can hold the chain taut, then after you have wrapped all your loops on you can snip the chain to then length you want.

P.s I find it much easier to put all my beads on headpins and make an open loop before you attach them to the chain, that way you get into the swing of things rather than having to pick up and put down your tools all the time !
