The only tip I can think of is to make sure no extra light can get into the scanner - I found I had to drap a dark heavy cloth over the whole thing, usually a bath towel.

Hi

Before I rigged up a light box I had to scan all my jewellery. The trick is to wedge something into the scanner like a thin book or diary that will lift the lid up by about an inch or so - this stops the lid coming ight down onto what your scanning and also helps stops the glass from scratching.

Once you've positioned your item lower the lid and cover the scanner with a something to keep out the light. I just used a large bath towel.

That should do the trick, although it's works best with items that will lie flat for you.

you are right this is what I was thinking on. I have from my Lightbox some white or black material so I could drap it over it. With the Books it is a good Idea. I was thinking on it when I should make some Dragons. This I must lift up. Today evening I will check it out so I will show you the Pics and see what you think.
At first thank you veary much for your Help! Daisy
